VISA INFORMATION
Before making arrival arrangements in Nepal, one should have prior knowledge on visa information. As a developing country, Nepal has its own rules and regulations regarding travel and trek, visa permit and visa cancellation.Visa information can be obtained from the Nepalese Embassy or consulate residing in your country. Make a pre-visit in theembassy or consulate for not facing any kind of visa problem in Nepal!

GENERAL VISA INFORMATION

Firstly, one needs to make sure if they are eligible for Nepal visa or not. Each traveler should carry their real passport. Your passport should be valid at least up to six months before boarding on the plane. The entrance should be made within six months of the visa issuance date. Its mandatory to have stamps on arrival and departure tickets before leaving immigration points at the airport. While passing through the immigration points of Kathmandu international airport, travelers should carry a visa form along with valid passport and copies of passport size photographs. Travelers are forbidden to cross 150 days visa limit in the following year. If required, please be careful to extend your visa on time or change the category of visa. You should strictly follow your visa purpose.  Fines and penalties are subjected for not obeying these rules.The Department of Immigration of Nepal can take legal actions or do visa cancellation, detention, and deportation if activities against immigration laws of Nepal are found.

TRAVEL AND TREKKING VISA INFORMATION

Many trekking regions of Nepal need travel and trekking permit. You should also register your travel schedule at the embassy or consulate. Travelers should carry trekking permit and passport throughout the trekking journey in Nepal. Deviation from the trekking route as mentioned in the trekking permit is considered as unlawful in Nepal. Exchange your money from the authorized money exchanger company in Nepal and take the receipt of your transaction. While walking in the trekking trails of Nepal, make sure you register yourself at the police checkpoints for your safety and hassle-free trekking. Trekking in Nepal is somehow the part of ecotourism or village tourism because of which travelers should value the local people, culture, customs, traditions, and their sentiments. Nature of tourism areas of Nepal should be preserved. Before clicking pictures of people or else, take permission or ask your travel guide regarding local and national instructions. Visiting in the internal regions of Nepal, trekking permit fee is compulsory. Recently, the government of Nepal has declared permit free for Everest, Annapurna, and Langtang region but for Kanchenjunga region, Lower Dolpa region, and Gaurishankar mountain including conservational areas and parks of Nepal, the permit fee is necessary.
